MEET 1188…

Hello, my name is Anthony Whiteley. I was born and raised in Western Massachusetts and I am the Co-Founder/Owner of 1188 Freight LLC. I received my degree in Business Management and Administration at Endicott College. At Endicott, I became roommates with one of my best friends dating back all the way to elementary school and that is where 1188 Freight LLC derived from. In my senior year, I interned with a healthcare technology company that during the peak of the pandemic, converted their resources into fighting the PPE shortage. Throughout my internship I dealt with various steps in the supply chain. From figuring out routes to manufacturing facilities in Southeast Asia to the procurement process of shipping to and out of ports in Southern Africa. I fell in love with logistics and problem solving through the supply chain. After graduation I continued to pursue this direction by working for Berkshire HealthCare Systems delivering PPE throughout the state to different healthcare facilities. I tried to pursue a more administrative side of business to learn how money moves in accounts receivable and account payable, so I took a job as a Biller for the same organization. Later on, I decided to partner with my long time friend and college roommate to open up a freight brokerage. Him and I both come from generations of truck drivers so we want to build 1188 to represent just that. Hardworking people who just want to make an honest living. No shortcuts or easy ways around. We are honest, respectable business men who do things right and do right by the people we do business with.
